Introduction

Fantasy football gives you the chance to step into the shoes of a football manager and take control of your very own team. You pick the players, balance the imaginary budget and make transfers in the quest for glory and some fantastic prizes. Unlike a simulated football management game the players you select will score points based on what they do in real-life Premier League matches. The Game Period prize will go to the team that gains the most points in each Game Period and the team with the best Three Period score will be the overall winner.

Players score points for goals, assists and clean sheets, but if a player isn't producing the goods on the pitch you can easily replace him by using one of your allocated transfers. At the start of the season you are given a number of transfers to use over the course of the campaign so that you can make tactical changes or replace players that are injured. And what's more, you get unlimited transfers before the game begins!

As well as competing in the overall, and monthly, competitions you can also battle it out with your friends, colleagues and even your enemies in your very own Private League. This is where the real drama takes place as you compete against your mates for bragging rights in a league of your own.

And what's more, the AOL Fantasy Football game is different because you can pick a new team for each Game Period! The season has been split into nine Game Periods and unlimited changes are available before the beginning of each of them, keeping the action going throughout the season. Remember, your overall score is not your total score for the nine Game Periods, but your best three Game Periods score. This means that it is NEVER TOO LATE TO SIGN UP!
